Progress not Perfection - the SMS Journey

I have a long history in the sporting world. Sport was always a huge part of my life growing up. From American football, basketball, soccer, volleyball, track and field, to simple childish games like kickball, tag freeze tag & red light green light.

I was given the opportunity to play Division 1 basketball with Boston College in two of the top conferences in America – Big East & ACC. It was during this period that I fell in love with the process and the journey of becoming a great athlete; the part that the spectators don’t get to see. Sports performance training and fitness grew to be my favourite part of being an athlete – this was the world I wanted to be in – the decision was easy. It taught me discipline and commitment and forced me to develop a “never quit, fail but get back up” mentality that to this day I carry into all aspects of my life.

This unique mentality continued to develop, change, and grow throughout my professional basketball career. Playing two years in the WNBA with the Seattle Storm and 10 years in Europe, I continued my growth and knowledge both on and off the court. My passion for fitness and strength & conditioning saw me gain both C.S.C.S and NASM certifications, and develop an insatiable appetite to be on top of current training trends and advancements.

I have worked with NBA and WNBA athletes Derek Rose, Russell Westbrook, and Candace Parker, as well as many college athletes in various sports.

I also found great joy in working with the weekend warriors and non-competitive athletes, clients with goals to regain a healthy lifestyle, change their body, change their mindset and reach personal satisfaction.

SportsMindset was created to combine the sporting world with the world of fitness; to instil healthy habits and use the competitive drive in all of us to build a strong-minded mentality. We have created a curriculum that ensures every time our athletes train they are developing both the physical and psychological skills essential to aid in their progression to reaching their short and long-term goals! From athletes wanting to become more efficient at their sport, to clients looking to lose weight, gain weight, or simply become healthier, we have the program for you.
